STEP 3 — A Bird's-Eye View of Brasília
Brazil's capital, Brasília, is an amazing city.
For a long time, Rio de Janeiro was the capital of Brazil.
In 1956, President Juscelino Kubitschek launched an incredible challenge: to build a brand-new capital right in the center of the country, where there was almost nothing!
Thousands of workers from all over Brazil worked day and night. On April 21, 1960, Brasília was finally inaugurated.
Seen from the sky, its layout looks like a huge airplane or a bird (in the photo ►).
Now it's your turn to fly over the city and discover it!
